Voucher Call list

Call to Save Public Schools

Time is critical!  There is only a short time left to call and save Wisconsin's public schools.  Joint Finance has postponed the vote until Tuesday (June 4th).  The GOP is close to a compromise with Walker that EXPANDS Vouchers to the ENTIRE STATE!  The lobbyists have descended on Madison to try to have the caps removed.

Gov. Scott Walker wants to expand private school vouchers at the expense of public schools and it's up to us to stop him.

Contact these members of the Joint Finance Committee and tell them to vote against voucher expansion and to restore public school funding:

In the Green Bay Area:

Sen. Rob Cowles  (608) 266-0484

Rep. Chad Weininger  (608) 266-5840

The proposed state budget would freeze public school spending, while at the same time, increase taxpayer funding for private voucher schools by as much as fourteen hundred dollars per student. It is outrageous that we would increase funding for private school vouchers, while at the same time, freezing funding for public education. It also allows students currently enrolled in private education use a voucher and to thereby take funding from public education.

The compromise would expand vouchers to the entire state.

There is no time to waste. We must stand up for public schools, today!

Contact members of the Joint Finance Committee, right now.
