2.  News From The 1st Assembly District

Brown County township residents are active in every part of the Dick Skare campaign for 1st Assembly District, including steering committee, fundraising, house parties, and visiting neighbors.  AND, we need more help!

The First District includes Scott, Humboldt, and Green Bay townships, basically from east of UWGB to most of Kewaunee and all of Door Counties.  We have identified a lot of potential strong Democrats like retired UWGB faculty, people with health care needs, teachers, farmers, attorneys, etc., but we need help reaching them.

Dick is a great candidate with an excellent chance of winning on November 2.  He ran in 2008 and lost by only 400 voters (800 votes).  There were way more voters than that in the three Brown County townships who voted for Obama and Kagen then stopped voting down the ticket.

Let the campaign know if you can help and visit www.DickSkare.com to sign up

3.  Volunteer Opportunities For Feingold

The Feingold Campaign will be holding phone banks every Monday thru Thursday evening.  Each evening will have two shifts, running from 5-7 pm and 7-9 pm.  Also, the Feingold campaign will be holding a statewide canvass on July 24, starting 10 a.m.

All events meet at the Green Bay office, located at 1061 West Mason Street in Green Bay.  If you are able to help out, please call Sam Cooper or Emily Kitchin in the Green Bay office at 920-497-1375.

4.  Communications Task Force

The party’s Commucations Task Force began its work recently to find the combination of strategies that will bring us more members, volunteers, donations, and an excellent voter turnout.  Research is underway on how our phones will be answered, how phone calls will be made, how the party looks online, how our e-mails look, and how our literature looks.  All of our communication methods will need to be tailored to maximize the value of our campaign dollars and volunteer time.

If you have experience in customer service, telemarketing, door to door canvassing, or if you have an interest in communications, we’d like to hear from you now.  You can contact the Task Force Chair, Bruce McKay, at 920-264-0973 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
