Friday, July 2, 2010 This week, President Obama traveled to Racine, Wisconsin, where he talked about the economy in a town hall meeting with local residents. The President addressed the need for comprehensive immigration reform in a speech at the American University School of International Service. The President attended the G-8 and G-20 Summits in Canada, where he discussed international efforts to improve the global economy.
The DNC launched The Accountability Project this week. It is a new initiative that will give Democratic supporters the opportunity to shed light on Republican hypocrisy in their hometowns. The Accountability Project’s website, http://accountabilityproject.com , will serve as a central clearinghouse for user- uploaded video, audio, and published accounts of Republicans misdeeds. The House of Representatives approved the conference report of Wall Street reform legislation Elena Kagan demonstrated her legal brilliance and displayed a comprehensive grasp of the law in her confirmation hearings before the Senate Judiciary Committee. The Administration continued its ongoing response to the BP oil spill. |
